To inform shipowners, operators, and representatives of the maritime sector about the importance of conducting compliance tests for the Long-Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) system as soon as possible. They are instructed to operate the LRIT navigation equipment with authorized communication service providers and to follow the regulations established by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine of Honduras. Only ships with an LRIT certificate will be able to register in the Data Center, and the approved company for conducting these tests and issuing certificates of compliance is detailed.
